Habitat for humanity — chicago OFFICE BRANDING
ARCHITECTURE
BRANDING
ENVIORNMENTAL DESIGN
Branding of the Habitat for Humanity office in Chicago. Their office was in need of an update to create an inviting space for their potential homeowners, and workers. All while using their updated brand standards.
Their space currently offered an area to highlight workers, conference room space to meet with potential volunteers and staff, and critical planning for the sites, and donors.
Brand Drivers —
Inclusivity — the ‘every’ message. This included You, Your City, and Your Neighborhoods. It was important for the space to reflect the two neighborhoods of Chicago that they worked in — Greater Grand Crossing and West Pullman.
Audience Walkthrough —
We met and walked the office to understand the main routes different groups would take to better see which areas we could design with the most impact. From it we distinguished these areas as key impact areas for design.

A stronger chicago
Concept —

Creating neighborhood with hands ON connections.
Throughout each area we wanted to make sure it always connected to Chicago, and have a human element. This is either by hand writing, actual names, or interactive wall designs — in the conference room we incorporated string, photos and pins to help the team track their work progress in their neighborhoods. We wanted the office to have the same connections that everyone gets when on site building the houses.

inspirational —
In each conference room, we have quotes to keep morale as everyone worked hard on the houses and training. The signage on the doors are the names of famous, influential people who stated the quotes and speak on behalf of social injustice and building close-knit communities.
